Last spring, my husband and I traveled to London and Paris, and I shared my favorites from each city with Philadelphia Style’s readers. Check out my top five picks from London on Philadelphia Style’s website here, plus a few more of my faves below.
The Anglesea Arms: This was our first stop in London after taking much-needed naps. If visiting an authentic London pub is on your list (and it bloody well should be!), this is your spot. Think dark wood, pints of beer and an incredible fish and chips platter.
The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town: You had me at meow! This speakeasy-style establishment is located at The Breakfast Club. Ask the host or hostess to “see the Mayor” and you’ll be escorted to a basement bar loaded with hilarious feline fixtures, which you’ll enjoy even more whilst sipping on a finely crafted cocktail.
Gymkhana: Whooo baby was this some pricey Indian food, but I’d expect nothing less for Michelin-starred eats. We saved this splurge for our final night in London and it was a treat. The dining room is beautiful and the service was excellent. The cocktail list is lovely and thoughtful, while the cuisine was delectable (do not miss the shrimp and queenies to start!).
Up next on the blog: Paris!
